I am currently only in-network with BCBS, Cigna, Aetna, and Optum/UHC but if you have a different insurance you can submit claims to your insurance and request reimbursement for out of pocket payments for services.
-
ACH Bank Transfer, American Express, Cash, Discover, Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Mastercard, Paypal, Visa, Zelle, Cash App, Loveland Vouchers
-
There should be a number on your insurance card to call that will say something about checking eligibility. If not, you can call one of the numbers and they should be able to get you transferred to the correct department.
When contacting your insurance ask:
IN-NETWORK BENEFITS:
-Do your in-network benefits cover mental/behavioral health?
-How much is your co-pay?
-How much is your in-network deductible (This will determine how much you have to pay for sessions out of pocket before they will begin reimbursing you).
OUT-OF-NETWORK BENEFITS:
-Do your out-of-network benefits cover mental/behavioral health?
-How much is your out-of-network deductible (This will determine how much you have to pay for sessions out of pocket before they will begin reimbursing you).
-Does your deductible have be met before they will reimburse anything?
-What is the reimbursement rate/percentage (this will be how much of the session fee that you will get reimbursed for)?
-Do they require any services/CPT codes to be preauthorized and what information would be needed (some insurance companies require this)?
The CPT code for the first session is 90791 and the CPT code for the remaining sessions would be 90837 (60 min) or 90834 (45 min).
It may also be helpful to ask them how you should go about submitting the claim forms & superbills, whether it be through your insurance account online or by mail, just to be safe.
Feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions.
